The summoned unit spawns next to a Shaman unit. Applicable units are sorted first by highest star level, then by highest draft tier, then by position (preferring backline heroes), and finally, if there is still a tie, the hero bought (or combined if 2 or 3star) first wins.
PASSIVE: Black Dragon's ranged attack deals 50% splash damage to units 1 cell away of the Dragon's target.

On summoning, and every time it kills an enemy, the Shaman Alliance creature gains +[10/50/100] Attack Speed for 4 seconds.

Each time it is attacked the Shaman Alliance creature has a [10/25/40]% chance to slow the attacker's Attack Speed by 80 for the duration of its attack.

Lone Druid forms a Spirit Link with the Shaman Alliance creature. Whenever either damages an enemy, both lifesteal for [5/20/50]%.
Shaman Alliance Bonus (Magnus)
Whenever it is attacked by a melee unit, the Shaman Alliance creature has a [10/20/30]% chance to push the attacker up to 6 cells away.
The Shaman Alliance creature gains Wrath of Nature. The creature blasts a target for [100/225/400] damage. The blast bounces [3/4/5] times to other enemies, increasing the damage by 15% per bounce.
