In a match of Dota Underlords, players build their crew from a shared pool of heroes that consists of:

  • 30 copies of each Tier One hero
  • 20 copies of each Tier Two hero
  • 15 copies of each Tier Three hero
  • 12 copies of each Tier Four hero
  • 10 copies of each Tier Five

When a player sells heroes they are returned to the shared pool.

When a player is eliminated from the match, all heroes they have hired are returned to the shared pool.

In Duos, the size of the pool is doubled.

Change logs

April 30, 2020 Patch

  • Changed the number of units in each tier in the draft pool. There are now 30 of each Tier 1 unit (was 45), 20 Tier 2 (was 30), 15 Tier 3 (was 25), 12 Tier 4 (was 20), and 10 Tier 5 (remained the same). This should increase your odds of ranking up un-contested heroes, and in general encourage more diverse and unique crews in a match.
